Full Title: Assistance with Registry On-boarding (Detailed)
Short Description: This template is used when assisting an agent with the Registry on-boarding process.
Business Rules: Prior to sending the template, complete the steps below.
- Download the company ALTA Business Structure via the Registry Admin site alta.org/registry/admin. Note that you must be logged into the network in order to access the Admin site.
- When the document is downloaded, DELETE the column for Registry Contact alternate email and phone number (column Y and Z). These options cause confusion and people will often provide a SECOND email/phone rather than one to be used INSTEAD of the RLC direct email / phone.
- Include the attached file when sending the email.
Template:
Hello,
Below I’ve listed the information that we will require in order to complete this Registry process.
Of course if you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me directly at the phone number listed in my signature below.
Instructions for completing the Registry on-boarding worksheet
-
Column A – This is an optional column if you would like to indicate any internal identifier when organizing your records. This information is not published.
-
Column B - Place an ‘X’ by the location(s) that will be listed as Principal (primary) business location(s).
-
NOTE: It is permissible to have multiple principal business locations. This is common when this is how your agreements are structured with your underwriters, due to multiple legal entities.
-
Column C - Place an ‘X’ by the location(s) that should be published as branch locations in the ALTA Registry
-
If a location does not have an ‘X’ in either column B or C, it will NOT be listed in the Registry.
-
If there is more than one Principal business location, in column C also include the ALTA ID of the principal this location is a branch of.
-
Column D - List the underwriters that should receive this request for confirmation. Here you can view the list of ALTA Registry participating underwriters.
-
Column E - If your company supports RON closings, provide the platform(s) used to conduct them.
-
Column F – DO NOT CHANGE. If there is a ‘Y’ in this column, it indicates that this location is currently listed in the Registry.
-
Column G - I – DO NOT CHANGE. These columns show the ALTA IDs currently assigned in the ALTA database.
-
Columns J-T, please review and update (if necessary) the company details.
-
Please use RED font (or highlight in some other way) the cells that you have made changes to.
-
Fields highlighted in YELLOW are required fields for the ALTA Registry for which ALTA currently does not have information for.
-
If a new location needs to be added, include the details at the bottom and a new ID will be assigned
-
Column U-X - Provide the individual ALTA ID (if known), name, phone, and email that will be published with each location’s listing.
-
If you list the same registry listing contact for multiple locations, that the email and phone for the individual listing contact is the same for ALL instances that the individual appears in the Registry.
Thank you.
