For any long URL on the site, there is a shortcut by only using last code, not all the "folders" between the slashes.
Make sure you do NOT include the final slash at the end.
Will work with this URL. It redirects, so you can't copy/paste from the URL bar, but you can from this, click, etc (note, no / at the end):
https://www.alta.org/title-insurance-law-journal
And
https://www.alta.org/news-and-publications/legal-and-regulatory-publications/
Will work from here:
https://www.alta.org/legal-and-regulatory-publications
Then when you're doing things in print, there's no need for the HTTPS or the WWW part, it just looks better shorter, and will work fine when people just start typing alta.org in their browser.
It could be like this:
alta.org/title-insurance-law-journal
Make sure that once you do set something up, you do indeed copy/paste into the browser exactly as is, click, etc. to make sure it does indeed work correctly!
If there is a need for something even shorter, then it’s just a matter of adding an “alternate code” to the CMS for that page, just let a web team member know what you’d like.
That could then be something like this:
alta.org/tilj
