ALTA owns the copyright on all forms used for title insurance in the United States. Holding a Policy Forms License with ALTA (at a cost of $195) is a requirement of all issuing agents of title insurance to comply with this copyright. It grants them the continued use of ALTA’s Policy Forms for the calendar year.
If you/your company issued 51 or more title policies in the previous year you must submit the $195 License fee.
- Log in and click on MY ACCOUNT to get to your profile.
- Click on the Organizations tab on the top. Depending if you have more than one organization, click on the blue Manage button. If you have multiple companies, you will have to do these steps for each one.
- Once in the company account, select the Purchases tab. Next, on the left side press Subscriptions. Select Inactive subscriptions. Click on the green Renew button.

Please select the organization and not the individual. Once you select the organization you will be sent to the checkout page.

If you want a certificate mailed out to you check the box. Click Next. Please be aware you will not be emailed a pdf.
- Click Checkout √
- Complete your payment information. Be sure to enter your email address to receive a receipt for the transaction. Click on Submit Your Order √.
The certificate of license will be mailed out in 3 weeks to the address on the account.
