An re:Members (formerly Impexium) custom price formula allows any merchandise product to be setup to have another merchandise product be required in order to purchase. There is a baseline price attribute for “in the cart” but there is not one for “has previous purchase” so this formula covers both.
Inactive prices are used for formulas so that we can set the values of variables like price, etc.
To add a formula price to a product, check the Has Formula checkbox on the add price form.

Best to copy existing prices, so that all accounting codes and setup are copied from what’s already correct, for both active and inactive prices.

Rename price NAME and CODE to the same thing, structure above.

One active price with “Has Formula” checked off.

One or two inactive prices with dollar amounts for EITHER everyone OR Member + Nonmember.
Caveats
- If purchase of the Course is “now”, user MUST go into the cart FIRST, then Exam will be allowed.
