- Access and Permissions
1.1 Overview of User Roles
Revive Adserver supports different permission levels. Depending on your role, you might have the ability to:
-
Administrator: Full access to all settings, zones, and reports. Can create or edit user accounts and manage all campaigns.
-
Manager / Standard User: Can create and manage campaigns, advertisers, or zones but may have limited access to user account management.
Note: Permission structures can be customized. Some organizations allow multiple administrators, while others create specialized roles for reporting or campaign management only.
1.2 Recommended Permissions Setup
-
Full Administrator: For users who require full control (e.g., generating reports, modifying websites, creating new zones, etc.).
-
Restricted Administrator or Manager: For team members primarily responsible for campaign creation, zone management, or ad placements.
-
Read-Only / Reporting Access: For users who only need to view performance metrics and run reports.
-
Logging In
-
Navigate to your Revive Adserver URL (e.g., https://example.reviveserver.com/).
-
Enter your username and password on the login screen.

Tip: If multiple team members need administrative capabilities, it is best practice for each person to have a distinct username. Shared credentials can be used temporarily, but personal logins improve accountability and security.

Copy the relevant snippet to your clipboard.
Note: For most modern integrations, the Async JS Code is preferred for better loading performance.
-
Placing Ad Code on a Website

-
Paste the invocation code snippet where the ad should load.

Best Practices
-
Create Individual User Accounts
Reduces confusion and ensures accountability. Assign only the permissions each user requires. -
Use Clear Naming Conventions
For advertisers, campaigns, and zones (e.g., AdvertiserName_Campaign_Spring2025, WebsiteName_Header728x90). -
Keep Zone Codes Organized
Maintain a repository or consistent structure if multiple developers handle website code. -
Test After Implementation
Confirm each ad unit displays correctly and that clicks/impressions are tracking properly. -
Regularly Monitor Reports
Keep an eye on performance data to optimize campaigns and ensure everything is functioning as expected.
- Additional
