ALTA derives revenue from paid advertisements (“Ads”) in its publications.
The publications, Ad sizes, shapes, placements and costs should be documented in the annually updated ALTA Advertising Guide.
This guide relates to monthly ads only.
All Digital Ads, excluding TitleNews magazine and Digital Title News (“DTN”)
Ads are managed and fulfilled using 2 different tools:
- SharePoint to manage the inventory throughout the year, to include pricing and placements SharePoint> Ads Inventory Manager YYYY>
Note : updating the Ads Inventory Manager list requires advanced SharePoint skills
- Revive (Ad Server) to host the ads for insertion into ALTAs publications.
There are 3 components to fulfilling an Ad in Revive:
· Advertisers> This contains details about the Advertiser and the name should include the ALTA ID
· Campaigns> This contains all the different campaigns the Advertiser has purchased for the month
· Banners> This contains the Ad artwork related to a campaign.
To cause an Ad to appear in a publication the following steps should be followed
· Add a Advertiser: Company Name & ALTA ID
· Add a Campaign: Ads Code>Advertisers Name>Name of the Ad (normally a couple of words from the artwork itself)>the dates the Ad should start and finish.
· Add a Banner>: Ads Code>Advertisers Name>Name of the Ad (normally a couple of words from the artwork itself)>link to a specific Ad slot
Notes:
Both the Ad name and the Campaign name should be the same.
If the Ad will not load, normally this means that it is either incorrectly sized, in this case it should be sent back to the submitted for correct sizing, Specs are in the Ad Guide, or there is already an Ad schedule for that slot, in which case the end date for the occupying Ad should be amended to before the new Ad is due to run
TitleNews magazine and Digital Title News (“DTN”)
TitleNews magazine and DTN are managed by saving the artwork to G:Title News>YYYY Issues> NN Month.
This must be completed by COB of the 15th of the month prior without exception. The Comms team do not need to be notified that the artwork has been saved.
